Cookie policy of TECH EUROPE

TECH EUROPE, with registered office in Koeybleuken 16, 2300 Turnhout, Belgium (Vat number BE0428545604) as Data Controller (hereinafter, “Data controller”/”TECH”), informs you pursuant the (EU) Regulation no. 679/2018 (“GDPR”) and the applicable national Data Protection law, that your personal data shall be processed by cookies installed on the web-site www.techeurope.com.

This website uses cookies to distinguish you from other visitors. Our policy outlines how we use cookies to help optimize service, personalize content, and improve our website. Read more our opt-out below.

What Are Cookies?
Recital 30 of the Regulation expressly states that ‘Natural persons may be associated with online identifiers provided by their devices, applications, tools and protocols, such as internet protocol addresses, cookie identifiers or other identifiers such as radio frequency identification tags. This may leave traces which, when combined with unique identifiers and other information received by the servers, may be used to create profiles of the natural persons and identify them.’

Cookies are, as a rule, text strings that the websites visited by the user (so-called ‘publisher’ or ‘first party’ websites) or else different websites or web servers (so-called ‘third parties’) place and store within a terminal device (i.e. computer, tablet, smartphone) in the user’s possession — whether directly as is the case with publisher websites, or indirectly as is the case with ‘third parties’, i.e. through the intermediation of the publisher websites. Software for browsing the internet and operating these devices can store cookies and then transmit them back to the sites that generated them on the occasion of a subsequent visit by the user, thus keeping track of that user’s previous interaction with one or more websites. Information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as an IP address, a username, a unique identifier or an email address, but it may also include non-personal data such as language settings or information on the type of device a person is using to navigate within the website. Cookies can therefore perform important as well as diverse functions, including session monitoring, the storage of specific server access information related to user configuration, facilitating the use of online content, etc. For example, they can be used to keep track of the items in an online shopping basket, or the information used to fill in a computer form.

This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. No personal data can be saved in cookies if you have not given your consent.

TECH Europe uses cookies to improve services for you by:

  1. Measuring how many people are using the different areas of the website
  2. Analyzing anonymous data to help us understand how visitors interact with the website in order to identify any improvements
  3. Enabling a service to recognize your computer so you don’t have to give the same information several times.

Categorization of cookies

  • WooCommerce Items In Cart

The WooCommerce Item in cart cookie has the same value as the WooCommerce Cart Hash. Both keep the cart information and allows you to properly use the cart feature. Without them, you would not be able to add multiple products to your cart or make any changes.

  • WP WooCommerce Session

This cookie contains a unique code for each customer. The WooCommerce session cookie knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. In other words, without it, shopping in WooCommerce wouldn’t be as effective and functional as it is now.

Analytics cookies have to be structured in such a way as to enable the same cookie to relate to several devices, which create reasonable uncertainty as to the IT identity of the cookie recipient. It’s necessary that analytics cookies be only used for the production of aggregated statistics and in relation to an individual website or mobile application, so as not to allow tracking an individual’s navigation across different applications or websites.

More particularly, our website uses the following analytic cookies (first-party and third-party):

  • Google Analytics & Google Search Console
